Album Notes

It Sucks is the second CD release from twisted, demented satirical songwriter Joe Soko. Featuring eleven strange and silly songs, It Sucks opens with the song "May I Please Borrow an Egg," a desperate plea from your next door neighbor Fred to borrow various household items. In addition, the album contains several musical warnings such as "Viewer Discretion is Advised" and "Parental Guidance is Advised." On the cover of the CD there is also an advisory warning. Amongst the many warnings included here is "Do not attempt to listen to tracks three or nine while reciting the alphabet backwards." Getting back to the songs on the disc, we have "No Way, Dude!", a perfect song for someone who likes to utter the phrase "no way, dude!" a lot. Next we have "No Cell Phones for Adam and Eve," a song which tries but ultimately fails to imagine a world without cell phones. In the song "Just Another Turtle to You," we have a harrowing plea from Timmy the Turtle to save the environment or, at least, to find another lake for him to reside in where he won't have to worry about a factory dumping toxic chemicals in the water.
