Solid State are a progressive duo based in Canberra, Australia, melodic and dark with thought provoking lyrics. The arrangement is sparse and minimalist and allows plenty of space for the voice and message to be heard. Electronic effects have been used to colour the tracks and help build atmosphere and drama. William Blakeley the vocalist and lyricist in this duo is now working as a solo artist and recording an album due for release in mid 2005.
