Sol Luna y las Estrellas : Imagining the Waves

Ambient with a pulse, electronica with a heart, environmental music with soul. Sol Luna has created lush, scintillating electronic landscapes that are so simple they're complicated to accompany the sounds of the sea. Beautiful guitar work.

Album Notes

Sol Luna y las Estrellas is the pseudonymous name of a group of talented musicians who seek to use natural sounds as a setting for their music, and their music as a setting for natural sounds.

Their hope is that the listener will have the experience of "a concert amongst nature," and that their music will have some of the healing power that being out in nature can bring.

Imagining the Waves is the first in a 4-CD cycle by Sol Luna y las Estrellas, to include Imagining the Storm, Imagining the Rainforest, and Imagining the Woodlands.

REVIEWS

Very soothing music!
author: Geonn
The music on this CD is just sublime. Completely relaxing without falling into the 'boring' category. I've listened to it with the volume way up and with it low, nothing seems to make it any less wonderful. I'll be keeping my eye out for the other three in the series!

Incredible for my yoga classes!
author: DR
This is some of the best music I've ever used for my yoga classes. The ocean sounds create an immensely restful feeling, while the music itself has a perfect pulse and some really emotionally beautiful guitar playing. Highly recommended!
