Album Notes

Our Christmas CD has arrived and we are as proud as new parents.  We are so excited to share it with everyone.  From it’s pretty star, by Ginger, on our album cover, to the new songs by Susan, Carey, Sue and other friends, to the sweet instrumentals, it’s a wonderful collection.

“Every Christmas Morn” has new songs we have written for Christmas, new songs by good friends Bob and Sara Rockabrand, Peter Hodgson and Dee Miller, and a new setting of Mary Baker Eddy’s ‘Christmas Morn’, all interspersed with traditional carols.  Family and friends join us. We have recorded some favorite carols that you will know and love with guitar and recorders. They weave in with the new songs, to uplift and inspire you.  We hope you will love the great variety and fresh inspiration.

Even before Susan, Sue and Carey got together to be The Solo Committee, we were cooking up songs along with the Christmas turkey.  One or two of the songs on Every Christmas Morn were first conceived when Christmas was still full of stockings and shopping, Santa and Sinterklaas. The kids are grown now, but out of the yearning to experience a deeper, more spiritual sense of Christmas, songs were born to share with our gatherings of friends and family, where everyone sings. Other songs grew out of our music ministry at our little church. As you learn these new songs, we hope you will be inspired to sing along, too.
