Album Notes

Inspired by artists such as Thrice, the Deftones, Norma Jean and In Flames, Somastate has experienced a quick rise to becoming one of the most talked about, freshly-unique rock bands in independent music.

Reversals is an honest and alluring selection of songs that showcase this brewing band's wide range of songwriting and skill level.

In just over a year, Somastate has played Vans Warped Tour, Junofest and shared the stage with artists such as Throwdown, Secret and Whisper, Social Code and State of Shock.

amazing - brilliant - infectious - intellegent...

From the first listen of Somastate's Reversals EP I was hooked. This band has it all. Intellegent lyrics, a vocalist can can go from soothing to down-right deadly and everything in between, musicians who know how to change things up and make it interesting, songs that get inside your head and beg to listened to over and over again. The obvious APC influences can be heard, but Somastate definitley has their own vibe happening and create a fatastic EP with a ton of diversity and musical integrity... yeah, they're that damn good!!!! My only disapointment is that it's only an ep... I could have easily enjoyed a full length double disc; but that'll just give me 'soma'thing to anticipate in their next release... which hopefully won't take to long to see the light of day.
