What do you get when combine drums, a dobro and a tuba? The answer is an amazing traditional blues band from Budapest Hungary called SOMEDAY BABY. Their first North American CD BACKBONE MOVE features 17 tracks of mostly traditional blues songs such as Tampa Red’s “The Duck Yas Yas” and Muddy Waters “Louisiana Blues”, along with “Long Haired Doney”, and “Skinny Woman” by R.L. Burnside and a very cool version of Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason”. This talented trio (an engineer, a pop idol and a classically trained musician) play a unique style of traditional Americana music.
The band who has a loyal following on the festival circuit in Europe, took Canada by storm this summer playing festivals and shows with their new friend Watermelon Slim. The band will be back for a full Canadian tour support BACKBONE MOVE in the spring and summer.
