Album Notes

This is beautiful collection of classic songs by the legendary Broadway duo Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein, performed by an array of top jazz/pop artists and musicians. Recorded in 2004 and produced by Tim Weston, this 10-song album is a balanced combination of excellent vocal renditions and stellar instrumental performances.

There are many highlights on this album, both vocal and instrumental: “Some Enchanted Evening” (sung by Phoebe Snow); “This Nearly Was Mine” (sung by Mark Murphy”); “If I Loved You” (sung by Shelby Flint & Dori Caymmi, guitar by Caymmi); “We Kissed In A Shadow” (saxophones and woodwinds by Tom Scott); “My Favorite Things” (harmonica by Toots Thielemans, piano and keyboards by Don Grusin); “March Of The Siamese Children” (soprano saxophone by Kenny Garrett).
