Somniae Status formed back in 1996 in Padova, Italy. The original line-up consisted of Alex Danieli (gtr), Randy Mion (gtr) and Fabio Tumiati (drms); the trio started immediately searching for the right singer and bassist but the line-up wasn't completed until 1999 when vocalist Breeze Danieli and bassist Andrew Vekk joined the band. The band began a strong live-activity, playing live both original songs and covers of Iron Maiden and Queensryche (the bands that most influenced Somniae Status). After three years of strong dedication to their own songwriting, the band finally entered the recording-studio and, with the help of Alex De Rosso (Dokken's guitar-player), produced their amazing debut-album «Cassandra». A worldwide record-deal with Adrenaline Records was arranged a few months later.
