An artist to watch for; solid, warm, excellent writing.
It's hard to believe that Reverie is Craig Sonnenfeld's first release. He writes and performs like a seasoned artist. Somewhere he learned to play the guitar, that is obvious; his voicing and picking are beautiful and
rich. The first track, "Junebug", will haunt you long after you've finished listening to it. There isn't a wasted word in the song, and one can only hope that Sonnenfeld will keep writing. Many Americans will
relate to the funny though tragic "Talkin' Cubicle Blues". This is a wonderful, well-balanced album of traditionally-influenced folk songs. Sonnenfeld's musical style references folk and blues songs of the 60's and
70's; this is solid, satisfying music for grown-ups. After you've purchased "Reverie", you should keep tabs on Sonnenfeld's future recordings and performances; I'm sure you will be hearing more from Sonnenfeld, on the radio and elsewhere.

“Tradition” in music is a cry from the heart. It reminds us of our frailty and how much we need each other. We depend on it to recognize our loves and exorcise our demons.
These original songs evoke tradition in every measure. Craig Sonnenfeld gives us childhood, bereavement, wisdom, romance, nature, regret. Nothing is compromised. His spirit does not make us feel good; it fills us with joy.

well-crafted poignant songs mostly about love and one's passage through life
"Reverie" is a collection of beautifully crafted songs about love and one's passage through life. Craig's melodies are easily accessible and he sings with poignance and accompanies himself gently with finger-style guitar. "Wayfaring Stranger" is an excellent bonus cut!

What a pleasure to hear an artist's first release that is original, creative and beautiful! The lyrics grab our attention as we listen to how the stories unfold. The beautiful melodies are sung in a soothing voice and laid on top of clean finger picking and subtle chord changes. Eleven of the twelve songs were composed by the artist, but even the one traditional folk song, "Wayfaring Stranger," has the original sound of this artist. He has clearly found his own voice, and I look forward to hearing his future releases.

Nice 1st Recording
This CD shows good song-writing talent, especially for a 1st recording -- and one written in just the past year. The guitar's solid finger picking, and the strong vocals show promise for more good songs to come. There are mostly pleasant ballads and heartfelt love songs. I would like to hear more blues, as they added a nice break in style to the collection -- maybe on the next CD?

A stunning debut cd.
I listen to a lot of cds in the folk/country field. Occasionally someone comes along whom I find to be stunningly good. Craig Sonnenfeld fits this bill. I was captivated from start to finish. Great lyrics, great playing. I hope that he continues to record.
