Album Notes

"It's all worth it for me when people take something away from what they hear in my music," replied singer/songwriter, Jessica Sonner, during a recent interview. Leaving behind the snowcapped mountains of Colorado and making the big city of Chicago home these days, Sonner released her self titled ep in December 2005, featuring fan favorites Rescue Me, Fool, and Open Your Eyes. She has since established herself as an emerging folk-rock artist with a bright future ahead. Barista by day, musician by night, Sonner has been continually singing her heart out all over the country for anyone who will listen. Wooing audiences with her compelling lyrics and soulful voice, she is quickly capturing the hearts of both fan and industry alike. Sonner has been caught sharing the spotlight with artists such as Colbie Caillat, Tristan Prettyman, Matt Wertz, Jon McLaughlin, Teitur, Dave Barnes and many more. Armed with a loyal fanbase, a solid acoustic sound, and a sultry unforgettable voice, Jessica Sonner is making her way to an iPod near you.

I randomly found out about Jessica Sonner and caught a show of hers at the Elbo Room in Chicago. I had to buy the CD before I left. Her voice grabbed me instantly and the disc get regular play in my CD player. I can't recommend this EP enough. If you get the chance to catch her live...DO IT! She manages to connect with everyone in the audience.
