Album Notes

The Son of Eric sound has been compared to bands such as Whitesnake, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, Skid Row and Alter Bridge. If you are into guitar driven, high-octane rock music with melodic soaring vocals over pounding drums, Son of Eric is the band for you…..

Son of Eric is the name of Torok lead vocalist Bryan Erickson’s new band. Now that Torok, the band Bryan fronted for the better part of 15 years is on an indefinite hiatus, Son of Eric has become his main focus musically. Son of Eric's debut full length CD is titled Epiphany. For the recording of Epiphany along with handling the vocal parts Bryan also played all of the rhythm guitar parts, bass guitar parts and all of the piano/synth parts while session drummer Greg Morrow played all of the drum tracks. For the lead guitar parts Bryan enlisted some of his talented guitar player Friends. Mike Torok of Impaler and Torok fame played the guitar solos on the tracks "Blind Man", "Good Bad Ugly" and "High Plains Drifter". Shrapnel Recording artist Todd Duane who by the way was recently rated the third fastest guitarist in the world by "Guitar World" magazine is featured on the tracks "The Truth", "Black Rain Falls" and "Born". John Lyell guitarist, composer/producer is featured on the track "Fierce" while Matt Graunke from the very popular Minneapolis band Menace is featured on the track "Lost & Never Found". For the live/touring band Co-producer of Epiphany Mike Jezmer was recruited to play bass and his talented little brother Mark Jezmer was given the drumming slot. Bryan, Mike and Mark are presently rehearsing the live show while a winter tour is being booked to start after the new year.
