Album Notes

Formed in late 2004, the members of Sons of the Cloth instantly recognized a common dissatisfaction with the homogenization of current musical trends. Setting out to forge an original and dynamic style, they combined elements of old and new. Using progressive rock as a platform to build on, the Sons included strong piano melodies in their compositions giving their work a flowing feel. Adding dynamic lead guitar work that is heavy with out being over bearing gives their sound a solid hard edge. Propelled forward by drums and bass guitar both of which emphasize the Sons progressive roots, the music is rounded out with lyrics that speak towards universalisms while providing sly social commentary. Inspired by such divergent influences as Tool, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Nurosis and Piotr Ilyitch Tchaikovsky, the Sons are a strikingly new and different sound. While their music is darkly compelling, you still find yourself humming it days and weeks later.

Truely Unique! Gripping!
author: Julie
Sons of the Cloth have developed a genuinely unique sound that had me captivated from the first notes. The progressive arrangement can make even a non-musician appreciate the difficultly involved in this complex music. The array of songs on Aryastya span the spectrum from emo to metal that you can listen to again and again. I can’t wait to hear more!

Watched these guys from the beginning
author: Corey A
I have watched these guys from the start and they are a true inspiration. So many talented individuals in one band is hard to find. The drummer is a freak of nature, keyboard player has an amazing feel for music, guitar licks are thick, powerful and raw. While the melodic bass and vocals bring it all together. No cotton candy or bubble gum here! They kick ass live too!

With Pastor Ted gone don't cry the Springs still has much to offer!

These freaks are either going to be a huge success or another tragic anomaly. I have seen these guys a few times and my only complaint was that they needed more songs. They put on a great show and believe it or not have a good sense of humor. Aryastya is a solid effort from the Sons and it shows just how much promise this band holds.
