Album Notes

Since Mark Simpson and Martin McClatchey first met in their late teens they have been writing and recording music together.In 1996 they set up their own independent record label "Mercy Records" to facilitate the release of their own work which was by this time being recorded at "The Window Box" a studio set up by themselves.The result of this was a debut album entitled "The Sleepwalkers Story" which gained favourable intrest and convinced them that making albums was something they wanted to do long term.
The subsequent few years found them recording other local musicians at The Window Box, the most notable being Rowena Cairns who they became close friends with.Quite a lot of Rowena`s material was recorded during this period leading to two single releases"Jealousy Thing" and "For As Long As It Takes" both produced by Mark and Martin.While this was happening Sontiche only found time to release one other recording of their own.In 1998 a single entitled "Forgive September" again gained notable intrest and airplay.
In 1999 Sontiche decided to knuckle down and record a follow up album to "The Sleepwalkers Story" and in 2002 "Give" was complete.After serious deliberation however it was decided that "Give" was not the album they wanted to release so they went back to the drawing board. So its only been ten years since the first album! Now the second has arrived entitled "Ever"......
