Sonya delivers a fresh, edgy CD full of powerful songs that are guaranteed to set your soul on fire. Sonya Kahn’s first release, New Beginnings, is a fine example of how music should be. From her classically inspired Sabre Dance to the wonderfully pop of Friend to the nitty gritty rock-n-roll anthem Party Song, Sonya displays her incredible talent for all to enjoy.
The way Sonya uses her voice, it becomes as much as an instrument as her piano, both of which she expertly plays.
All in all, the release has become one of my favorite CD releases, up on top with favorite gems like Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Highway 61 Revisited, Absolutely Free & Pet Sounds.
