Album Notes

Welcome to Homespun Holidays! This unique CD features students and parents of the Cloverdale School of Music owned and operated by Paula Gilbert. Homespun Holidays is a traditional holiday CD also featuring an original Christmas Carol "Christmas List" written by 12-year old Nikki Goetz.

Katie Alexander, an 8-year old voice student, had the idea of recording a CD and giving a donation to benefit children. After a brainstorming session, we decided to involve all the students from the school and have the CD benefit children affected by hurricane Katrina.

This beautiful Homespun Holiday CD includes traditional Christmas carols, Hanukkah songs, and Auld Lang Syne to celebrate New Years.

The CD began production in November of 2005 and was released during the holiday season of 2005! We sold lots of albums in Cloverdale and are now pleased to further distribute this wonderful album through CD Baby and soon through our new website www.singingsunrecords.com.

The charity that we donated to this year was elated to receive our donation. They are doing really good work with folks who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina and who also have diabled children. They buy them computers, deliver supplies, help them to re-build fences, and provide moral support for over 250 families.

Apart from the donation, the funds raised from this album go to support Paula Gilbert's Cloverdale School of Music and further album projects through her new record company Singing Sun Records.
