Album Notes

SWJ play three chord songs about freedom and wide open spaces. The sound is bluesy, yet melodic, with a hint of southern butt-rock. Hailing from Bellingham, Washington, and comprised of members of the legendary group Clambake, and featuring Ron MF Bek on the screamin' SG, the songs are melodic, driving, and catchy. You might even hear it coming from the back of a '68 Camero.

Band members include bassist John Belafonte Newmon hailing from some place called Los Angeles, California. A veteran of the LA scene in the late '80's and early '90's he made his way to the new music Mecca of Bellingham, WA to pursue a career in media. A member of the infuential rock band "Clambake" he is a renowned and accomplished musician but not much of a handyman.

Ronnie Bek comes from Michigan or so he says. Others say he is from Hell. Either way he plays guitar like he has 16 fingers. He drives a Toyata he paid $500 for in 1994 and makes a heck of a martini. Great hair.
