A truly memorable album.
author: Jason Trask
When I heard that a friend had married a blues man from Greece, I had my doubts. I bought his c.d., more out of a sense of duty than anything else. And though I listened to it, I see now that I didn't give it the time it deserved. Not until I was listening to my iPod on shuffle mode did I hear how good Transblues really is. When the song “A Million Years” came on, I suspected it might be Stevie Ray Vaughn, but I didn’t recall putting him on my iPod. I looked and sure enough it was Spiros Soukis. The man is a powerhouse, a truly inspired blues guitarist who has not only the technical proficiency to make his guitar do his bidding, but the emotional daring to let the music do its. And his voice has the rough-sawn quality of someone who has experienced all sides of life. All of the songs except one are in English, but even the Greek song “Na’rtheis” has the feel of the blues. Every song on Transblues reveals a slightly different facet of the blues, and they all work together to create a truly memorable album.

A must-buy cd!!
author: Ella
This has become one of my new fave cd's. Every song is great, I especially like Time Was, Suspicious and Na'rtheis. The whole cd is very bluesy but with a rock n' roll kick that gets you jammin hard to his tunes. His voice has that -I've-been-around- sound that makes you believe he really means what he's singing about. It got me hooked. I'd recommend this cd to anyone who likes good music and if you like classic rock or blues this is a serious MUST BUY!! Yeah, baby!!
