"Wonderful harmony," "exactly what the industry is missing," "awesome," "truly annointed." These are samples of comments made by those who have been witness to the SOULACE experience. Who is SOULACE? SOULACE is a contemporary gospel group located in the heart of the South, Atlanta, GA. It's members include Kiisha Smith, Tabitha Houston, Janiza Howard, and Colette Coley.

The name SOULACE was chosen because it captures the essence of their ministry and their ultimate purpose for singing. "SOUL" defined is the sum of the body and the breath of God (Genesis 2:7) and certainly God has been their inspiration (God-breathed) for this ministry. "LACE" is defined as that which binds or holds together by being interwoven (Webster's Dictionary); this too is true of the music these ladies sing. Through their music, they bind the strongholds that the enemy has on the lives of those they minister to, and bring people together through the uplifting messages of their songs. "SOLACE" is defined as a source of comfort in distress, sorrow, or misfortune.

Collaboratively speaking then, SOULACE is a group formed by the inspiration of God to minister in song through life affirming lyrics, while God sends His Spirit to heal hearts, comfort pain and sorrow, change lives, and uplift spirits; all with a "SOULFUL" flair.

The foremost goal of the group is to usher in the second coming of Christ and make it into His glorious kingdom. SOULACE is committed to "seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, knowing that all things will be added to them."

SOULACE: "Totally bound to God and God Alone. We do not take this ministry lightly. God has commissioned each of us to spread the gospel of the kingdom to every nation and kindred and tongue and people. We are honored that God has chosen us and blessed us with the ministry of song, for music is a passageway which stirs the soul and lifts the spirit."
