Album Notes

Soulacious is the hottest new funk/soul/pop band to emerge from the Twin Cities music scene. Built by Craigslist, the popular internet site, Soulacious effortlessly blends 70's soul & funk with 80's pop, rock & hip-hop accompanied by masterful songwriting to create the "Soulacious Sound." Popular TV and radio personality Todd Walker exclaims, "It's like watching Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell with a bit of Run DMC and then you throw in a superbad guitarist like John Frusciante. They're absolutely amazing!"

The Funky Fivesome (Jarrod Anderson and Kandii Matthews "vocals," Ezra Sauter "guitar," Dan Knoflicek "bass," and Ryan Scribner "drums") have already established themselves as the "GoTo" band having been tapped to open for national soul legend and former Tower of Power lead singer, Lenny Williams and Minnesota Music Award winning band The New Congress. Longtime bar owner and music scout Dan Lessard has made Soulacious a regular act at his Jitters Martini Bar where the band grows it's cult following every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month!
