Soulpajamas is a guitar and vocal duo, often supported in concert and on recordings with bass, drums, piano and other instruments. Featuring positive and empowering lyrics, Soulpajamas' musical style is light-hearted, jazz-influenced pop.
Many of the songs were inspired by the Law of Attraction (the idea behind The Secret) and other spiritual laws.

New Thought Groove
author: Lisa Colburn
Dan's jazzy guitar and Erin's sultry alto voice, combined with those uplifting New Thought lyrics, are a winning--not too mention movin' and groovin'--combination. I am a YogaRhythmics instructor, and I use all kinds of music in my classes. When I played "Spirit Speak to Me" from this CD, several students came up to me after class asking where they could find the song. Spirit speaks--and we're listening! More, please.

CD Review
author: Laurie Wiggins
This CD will take you on a great, uplifting trip. The songs speak of brighter ways of being without the preachiness - they tell their story in an enticing way. Erin's silky smooth voice carries you along effortlessly, and Dan's vocals provide a great counterpoint. Their voices blend well when they sing together. Put this CD in when you get in the car and you'll be at your destination in no time - the music ends all too quickly.

Dreaming a New Reality review
The word 'spirit' is much bandied about in the New Age genre these days, so much so that when a musical event does actually enrich one's connection to our divine commonality it is cause for notice. 'Dreaming a New Reality', the
latest recording from the New Thought duo, Soul Pajamas, achieves this not by preaching, but by telling stories, successfully maintaining the
exultation of spirit throughout.
The duo of vocalist Erin Johnson and guitarist/vocalist Dan Johnson has many artfully wielded tools at their disposal. The songwriting is strong; they captivate when their voices combine; and the acoustic guitar playing throughout the disc is intricate and masterful.
But the most distinctive voice, both figuratively and literally, belongs to Erin. Sounding at times like a holy marriage among Joni Mitchell, Patricia Barber and Nina Simone, her commanding way with a melody on songs like "In the Silence" (written by her partner, Dan Johnson) is stunning. It also suggests that this small group can convey the richness of these well-arranged songs in their live show.
Other highlights are spread across the album equally, like the rave-up at the end of "A World At Peace", featuring a great electric guitar solo by the producer, Marco Delmar. The acoustic guitar work on "If I Were Brave" delights.
Dan and Erin's voices combine beautifully on "House of God", a song which could fit easily into Al Jarreau's live set.The clean production allows the message to come through in a direct yet gentle way.
And what a message: a celebration of love and of belief in the Positive. As Erin states in the great "Are You Ready?", a jazz waltz "...creating my world is a work of art".
I can't wait hear more creations from this wonderful duo.
