Formed in the summer of 2003, Soul Satyr (say-tur) is a blues and rock band from Columbus, Ohio. Our eight-piece band features big sounds with a three piece horn section, the sweet sound of the Hammond Organ, and driving blues guitar work from vocal/guitarist founder John McNamee. Live show set list consists of original material and covers from classic blues artists such as Freddie King, Little Milton, Albert King, Robert Johnson, as well as blues/rock artists like the Allman Brothers, Joe Cocker, Santana, Eric Clapton and more. Soul Satyr took second place at the 2005 Columbus Blues Challenge, has a track featured on “Best of Columbus Blues Volume 2” CD released by the Columbus Blues Alliance in 2004, and has played many weddings, private parties, clubs, and festivals throughout Central Ohio and the midwest. www.soulsatyr.com
