notes
"Bleeding on Paper," Soulscript's sophomore CD, contains nine original songs that redefine the meaning of "extreme emotional disclosure." In Feb. 2004, Offbeat magazine described the CD as "polished and heartfelt. . . " Formed in 2001, the New Orleans trio stay close to their Americana roots with singles like "A House You Can't Call Home," "This Town's Been Mean," and "Queen of Nowhere." Soulscript also embrace their rock roots with classic sounding songs such as "Drive," "Down," and "It's Important to Me." "Bleeding on Paper" is currently at #115 on the Americana airplay charts and # 10 on the roots rock airplay charts of Roots Music Report©.
Soulscript's debut CD, "There By Now," was released in June 2002. It has since received airplay on over 200 stations in 18 countries. Highly recommended! melodic, catchy, honest music.
author: John EricksonAnother set of great music from Soulscript. These songs are catchy, well-crafted and fun, but not at all lacking in depth and honest feeling. Love the balance of sensitivity with good old-fashioned rock n'roll attitude. Like their debut, There By Now, Bleeding On Paper sounds especially good on the road.
