Sound Aid is a fundraising project which is devoted to helping cure world hunger through music. We believe that music is a gift from God, and there’s no better way to use that gift, than to give the gift of life to others. 100% of the profits from our sales goes to Heifer International (www.heifer.org).

We chose Heifer because we believe in their concept. Rather than provide a family with a cup of milk, they are provided with a cow, a goat, or another livestock gift which gives them a sustainable source of food and income rather than a short term fix. Families are also provided training in farming and community development. Each family that receives assistance “passes on the gift” of one or more of the animal’s offspring to another family in need. Thus, your contribution goes on and on, and touches many families and many lives.

Independent artists from around the world have donated their songs to our Sound Aid website (www.soundaid.org). This CD, The Best Of Sound Aid, is a compilation of what we feel to be a perfect mix of some of the best alternative, rock, and adult contemporary songs we have available. Hours of time and much thought went into the selection of each song and its placement to insure that we could offer you a collection of superior songs that flow from one track to the next. Contained within this CD you will find gems waiting to be discovered, from some of today’s hottest rising stars. At Sound Aid, we hope that this compilation will bring them the attention and recognition they deserve, not only for their musical talent, but for their kindness and generosity as well.

Everything on this CD has been donated, from the artwork, to the mastering, which was done by Bill Jacobs of Sonik Wheel Productions (www.sonikwheel.com). Derek Sivers of CD Baby has so kindly offered to donate not only their profits in distributing this product, but their costs as well, which comes to four dollars per CD. This is a HUGE contribution to our cause! This entire project goes to show that when people work together and give of their time and talents, we truly can make a difference in this world and in the lives of others.

In purchasing this CD, not only will you be getting a collection of fabulous songs, but you will be giving the gift of life to someone less fortunate than you. Ten dollars from every sale goes directly to Heifer International and the other two dollars goes back into the production of more CDs. At an average cost of one dollar per CD that we manufacture, this allows us to double our inventory with each order and thus keep this project growing.
