Sound of Birds - Home Demos and Such 2006


"My wife was pregnant as this collection was being put together. Some of these demos were recorded in the front room of our home, on a POS computer with a bad microphone, as my wife and unborn son slept in the bedroom. These songs probably shouldn't be heard in this infant stage, but it's too late now." - Michael Red

Sound of Birds is an art-rock project by Michael Red (guitar/vocal), based in Phoenix Arizona. This recording includes, Justin White (drums), Doug Littlefield (guitar), Tato (bass), and Mark Stinson (saxophone).

Sound of Birds found themselves back in the Conservatory in Jan and May of 2006 recording three more songs. A live performance in Sept 2006 at Monroe's Underground in Phoenix was captured on tape and included Doug Littlefield on lead guitar. These recordings, along with acoustic home demos recorded during Sept and Oct were compiled into the 16 song lo-fi LP, "Home Demos and Such", released Nov 2006. Duplication of physical CDs were limited to 100 and include hand placed packaging.
