Album Notes

"Sounds from the Cellar" came together after several years of playing rock and blues. One night the members (who are all originally from the east coast) sat around playing "original" acoustic songs. The vocal and guitar combination had a sound they really enjoyed. Since several members grew up playing folk, folk rock and blues, they decided to go back to basics and keep things simple and minimal. Making sure not to over produce or perfect the sound was easy, since the equipment used was also very minimal. Working from a small work station recorder, they laid down some tracks and this CD is the result. There were many songs to choose from however, they settled on these five. They're currently working on a second CD which will have five additional tracks. The songs all have a minimalist folk rock sound with a hard edge, simple harmonies and soft melodic feel. Hope you enjoy it.
Vocals: Suki Paprcka
Guitar, Bass & Keyboards: Tommy Hayes
