First Born

by Soundtrack Black

Sometimes heavy, sometimes ethereal. Lyrics that explore the human psyche and bare the (sometimes unsettling) truth for all to hear clearly. Music that makes the numb feel again.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Soundtrack Black is where the cold, hard anvil of all logical and unavoidable consequence meets the red-hot hammer of human passion, defiance, and hope.

The music is a fusion of Heavy Alt/'Nu Metal' with veins of post punk, new wave influence spread liberally throughout. Many songs share a common 'dark' tone to varying degrees.

There is actually a bit of a dual nature in the bands music, with some songs rising into some far away, theatrical, world and others falling back down to earth with a more human feel.

The songs are infused with emotion and intriguing lyrical content which you may find taking you into new psychological realms if you aren't too careful... as the lyrics in the song "Lines and a Stage" from the "First Born" album put it: "transforming mundane existence, so set aside your disbelief tonight..."
