Album Notes

Sour Deluxe, formerly Sour, assembled in October, 1996 as a modest studio project on the overcast campus of Northern Illinios University in Dekalb, IL. Sour's studio demos soon attracted the attention of several indie labels, and high profile venues in the Chicago area. Sour was signed to Chicago label No Cigar Records, and release their 12 song self-titled release in the Spring of 1999. In early 2001 Sour became Sour Deluxe, and after some time off, recorded a new demo, and began playing in and around the midwest.

'Sour Deluxe's sound is heavy alternative pop, kinda like if Hole was actually good.' Mike O'Cull - chicagogigs.com

'the colorful cast of characters populating these songs ('Beautiful Psycho,' 'Prozac Kitten,' 'Bond Girl'& distinguishes the group from mere copycats, marking it as one to watch.' Jim DeRogatis - Chicago Sun Times

Great CD if you like true Alternative/Hard Rock music!
author: Marc Yarbrough
This is a GREAT CD for anyone that likes true Alternative/Hard Rock music! It's a perfect blend of what was good in the 80's and 90's but made better!! Jamie's vocals are awesome (not to mention she's cute), she is backed up perfectly by Greg and Ben on Guitar and Base and John laying down straight for great rock beats on drums! I'd recommend this to anyone that's looking for something a little different that like groups like Garbage!!
