Album Notes

Folks ask where IS this South End you keep talkin' about?

You want to know the truth, the South End is really a geography of the imagination. A place where the porches go on forever, the jug is never empty, and the avante-gardens sprout weeds more exotic than any suburban flower.

Economists will tell you jobs are scarce as a chicken's orthodontist down our neck of the nettle forests. Which is exactly WHY we settled here and NOT Hong Kong. We got way too much work to do to be side-tracked with jobs.

We got homes to build and gardens to hoe and dreams to live and a whole world to create. What we got an abundance of down here on the South End is time. That may not seem like much to some folks, but here it's made all the difference.

Take a little time yourself and listen awhile to the Band's newest hi-fidelity recordin'. It's just one of the many roads down to the South End, but there's no traffic. So enjoy the drive. You'll get here pretty quick. We're the South End String Band. Drop by any time.

Great CD. Easy to listen to and hard to keep from tapping feet and actually getting up and dancing with it. Great rhythm and harmonizing. Good songs and music...wonderful renditions. Thanks.
