The SpaceMonk Story reads like fantastic fiction but is amazingly true.

With a sound as unique as his self-designed logo, SpaceMonk employs the rare art of fusing well-crafted melodies with clever, poignant & moving lyrics to define a fresh sound that both intrigues and hooks the listener immediately. And they always come back for more!

As an accomplished vocalist, keyboardist, guitarist, bassist and producer, the last 3 decades have found SpaceMonk creating, arranging and performing sounds & music for humans worldwide including, but not limited to:

Dr. Albert Einstein Jr. Ph.D., the former President & Vice President of the United States, the Prime Minister of Israel, Fred Waring, GNP Crescendo Records, Skip E. Lowe, Red Buttons, Elena DaVinci, Frank Stallone, Rich Little, Elaine Boozler, Irish Poet Laureate Paddy McLaughlin, Neil Norman & his Cosmic Orchestra, John Walsh, Johnny English, Ray Greene’s feature film, “SCHLOCK: The Secret History of American Movies” & Brazilian superstar XUXA. To mention but a few…

But why take our word for it:

“…ah yes, SpaceMonk, the musical genius…”
-Dr. Albert Einstein Jr. Ph.D.

“With eyes closed I would swear that this [SpaceMonk’s latest CD, ‘Millennium Of Peace’] is a lost John Lennon basement tape produced by Phil Spector. References that are very close to my heart...arrangements are great…material is well crafted...overall I love the soul of this…”
-Moses Avalon, Producer, Author

“...he can play anything and I think he smokes Elton John on the keyboard...He is by far the most multi-talented musician I have ever worked with…”
-John Quinn, Quinn/Lamb Media

“SpaceMonk + Crew are probably the most versatile group of performers you will ever hear and see. I thoroughly enjoy their music and their shows. Their music gives me relief that melody and harmony still matter in modern day music.”
-Larry Paschall, Musical Director/Reno Jones

“I can’t even begin to explain how good this music makes me feel. He’s like all The Beatles rolled into one and then some. He’s one of those artists that never disappoints. The music “business” has been waiting for something like this for a while now and I can’t wait to see SpaceMonk take off. This is the kind of music that can, and I believe will change the world.”
-John Walsh/President-Johnny English Music

His spoken word has been heard in numerous voice over spots and SpaceMonk is recently featured in the latest documentary series “Veritas, Volume 3: Face Control” which premiered at the 2003 Silverlake film festival and airs on PBS.

In this ever changing world and tumultuous global climate, SpaceMonk continues to discover new avenues for the ongoing dispensation of SpaceMonk Music throughout the world via live performance & recorded mediums including Compact Disc distribution, internet download, & transmissions of multimedia audio & visual images.

SpaceMonk is currently promoting his latest CD, “Millennium Of Peace” with a series of live performances here and abroad. Catchy melodies and engaging arrangements support clever & poignant lyrics. This pop/rock adventure brings to mind the likes of The Beatles, Queen, Kansas, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Williams and Elton John, yet commands it’s own unique sonic territory.

SpaceMonk is the voice of compassion & encouragement. If you enjoy a powerful voice and deep emotions, may I suggest the music of SpaceMonk.

Song Reviews:

"Major Awesome" - Really creative song. Reminds of David Bowie ('space oddity') in a good way. ‘Major Awesome' is highly intelligent, soulful. Very good instrumentation/harmonies/vocals keeps the music in yr face. Bravo!

Gilby Rondor - Record Producer, Song Writer

“Earthquake” - Love the verse melody ....Interesting and cool guitar work during chorus...some notes in the bridge that are really nice...

Sylvia Cross - Music / Film, Song Writer
_

“Imperial Jade” - I really like his voice. He reminds me of Spandau Ballet and the lead singer from ELP! Not to mention Paul McCartney. The feel of this song is as suited for Broadway as it is for Radio.

Shannan Cleigh - Studio Musician, Record Producer, Engineer, Song Writer

LUSH! Nice concept! Fun to listen to. Really enjoy the production! Rock On Major Awesome!!!

Wow! Good stuff. Original, unique, interesting, funny, thought provoking, tongue in cheek, yet sincere. Did I mention I liked it? Yes, I did! The production and arrangement were first rate, the vocalist had a style that was his own and that's very rare these days. I liked the hidden tributes to Yes's Roundabout, Bowie's Space Oddity and maybe even a bit of Tenacious D. Good work. I'll be checking your stuff out. I usually don't sign these things, but man that was good. Highest rating I've ever given by far.

Sven Owens - Studio Musician, Music / Film, Song Writer

Great arrangement, lyrics, intro and outro. Excellent vocals, great tonality. Cool production. Nice job.

Robbie Thomas - Live Performer, Song Writer

"Millennium Of Peace"- Cool integration of several genres (rock/pop/psychedelic) - Efficient enough that I wanted to hear it again - Great layering

Hunter Mitsgus - Live Performer
__

This is good...sounds like a George Harrison production...

Clive Martin - Record Producer, Publisher

(WOW) This (WOW) album is (WOW) totally (WOW) amazing (WOW). Great tunes, uncompromised production, smart lyrics, sung by a guy who can sing. SpaceMonk is Kevin Gilbert reincarnated!! Pure talent. I can't believe I got this album for only 5 bucks. I think I'll write him a check for another fifty. Brilliant!

Spacemonk raises the dead
author: P.J. Smelling
Dear Mr. Spacemonk, I must ask that you cease and desist your blatant adoption of the undeniable talents of deceased rock superstars. It can be no accident that "Millennium of Peace" sounds like the stunning collaboration of John Lennon, Freddie Mercury, Jeff Lynne, and Kevin Gilbert. (Though Jeff Lynne is not actually dead, I think we can all agree that that is a mere technicality.) You have no business continuing the brilliant work of dead people, even though they quit producing decent material long before they passed. Besides, it isn't fair to other musicians who don't know how to write, or how to play an instrument, or how to carry a tune. No, Mr. Spacemonk, producing a legendary album is not in your best interest. Leave that to the professionals, like all of those wonderfully talented kids on American Idol. I think selling lawn mowers at Home Depot might be more to your liking. Sincerely, P.J. Smelling, Green With Envy Records, Ltd.
