Album Notes

Mark Spangler's songwriting and distinctive guitar work helped shape the sound of Johnny & The Distractions, a legendary Pacific Northwest rock band. Mark's other musical adventures have included gigs with 60's icon Al Kooper and blues star Robert Cray. He has also worked as a product specialist for pickup guru Seymour Duncan, performing concerts and clinics around the world.

In 2001, Mark released "Don't Go in the Basement," a rootsy collection of original songs that the Oregonian said "rocks by taking its time and being thoughtful, as only guitarists who know their way around Fender guitars and perfectly overdriven tube amps can."

These days Mark keeps busy as an in-demand sideman and session guitarist in Portland, Oregon. He is currently at work on a new album.
