Album Notes

The Speakers' dreamy hypnotic indie pop music has been compared to:

"becoming invisible by drinking a glass of milk a certain way." -from "On Turning Ten" by Billy Collins

We use banjo, ukelele, casios, drums, guitars, reverb, the old man whistle, french horn, loops, accordion, jingle bells, that little xylophone you had when you were 5, and clusters of vocal harmonies.

reviews:

"...your music is truly beautiful and perfect in a tiny and grandiose way - tiny in that it makes the little hairs on the back of my neck stand up and grandiose in that it makes my heart swell and my soul feel steady."

- Sammy Parton, The Be Good Tanyas

"These guys are AMAZING songwriters and producers. They make really beautiful music."

-Jolie Holland, Anti records

"I hardly had any room for cd's when I packed for a year in Costa Rica and I only brought Speakers albums"

- Susan in New Hampshire

"That was the best song, I've ever heard, in my entire life!"

- Eric, 6 years old

REVIEWS

Dreamy beautiful music that does not get old
author: Nick
Softly sung songs (when there is singing) that always seems to use the right amount of this and that to make beautiful music. This CD goes in the good pile.
