Let's talk about LOVE!

Special Blend is the collaboration of long-time music partners Terry Sue Crawford and Bob Lopez…now partners for life. Celebrate love, hope and overcoming life's weirdness with two true native Californians and hippies at heart.

You will hear the pain of loss and the joy of love in the words of these songs. They are a little different from the more spiritual-themed songs on "Deeper." But they are still spiritual. What is spirituality without love? Love is the primary message of Jesus Christ. “Love one another.” Love conquers all. Even when we mess up. God forgives, and God restores. He resurrects lives. We know, because He resurrected ours.

Song #10, "Cece's Song" is about the love of a lifelong friend. I (Sue) wrote this when I learned that Cece was battling lung cancer. She fought a very valiant battle for nearly 5 years. She passed away 5/13/09. This song is my tribute to her, and to our friendship. Friends become like sisters, as the years entwine our hearts. I miss my red-headed friend. Cece, I love ya, and that's what life's about.

Song #11, "Pass it on," tells of the various ways people demonstrate love. It was inspired by President Obama's acceptance speech, when he said to his daughters "I love you more than you will ever know." The references to my parents are true. And the message to my kids is also true. The way I say I love you is my song.

To all the other closet hippies at heart – listen to the wisdom in your soul. Live your dream. Fellow romantics and idealists -- you will get it. God bless you!
