Album Notes

These tracks are the result of two sessions recorded at John McClarty's Emblem Sound Studios by Glasgow band Speed Limit. Kenny Wilson left the band shortly after the first session to join legendary Hawkwind guitarist Huw Lloyd Langton's band. Bassist Tommy Cox came in as Kenny's replacement and performed on all but one of the tracks. Speed Limit disbanded shortly after these sessions and never reformed. This CD captures a moment in time when Rock and Blues were king and the Glasgow rock underground was vibrant.

This is a band that should have been huge
author: Tony T
I don't know much about Glasgow but I would have loved to have seen this band live. There's so much honesty and originality about this that makes you wonder why they never made it huge!! It's a great grungy sound and very original. The main complaint is that it's a very short CD, but having said that the price is less than most CD's so I guess it's about right. I play this all the time, Rock and Roll Guitar is the ultimate driving record. Five Stars.
