Album Notes

"Blues From The Archives" presents some of the rarest and most vital recordings from my career.Recorded between 1982 through 1984,these tracks represent some of the finest examples of modern electric hard rocking blues ever recorded.Admittedly these tracks were not recorded on the best of equipment but the songs and performances are so breathtakingly beautiful that the true blues collector will be grateful that they are available. But just so you feel like you havent been ripped off I am offering this record as a $5 dollar special as a way to introduce you to my music.I assure you my other CDS on CD Baby are far more professionally recorded and feature very high quality of musicianship. This sale is for a very short time ,so please take advantage of it asap,as in a few short months it will revert to $9. This record features myself,Speedo Harmonica Jones along with the soon to be legendary Jumpin Jon Specter and Peter Malick on dual guitars.Check out the interplay on Albert Collins tour de force song "Frosty" or the subtle Mike Bloomfield like blues nuances on "Women Loving Each Other".This is blues guitar playing that will transform the listener back to the late sixties.Speaking of Mike Bloomfield,I have just recorded a tribute record to him that will be available through cd baby shortly

I was very delighted to find other recordings of Speedo Jones as I'm very lucky to own his first and sole LP "Blues blasters, live from the open road".It's as fresh now as it was in the beginning. Live recordings are lacking of quality but this CD is compulsory in a blues fan collection.

Sounded like it was monitor recording but for the lack of quality engineering the musicianship was incredible. Wouldn't hesitate to buy another Speedo CD!
