Album Notes

This cd was recorded live at Stampen,Stockholms finest blues and jazz venue.Every Sept I tour Scandanavia and bring my style of hard rocking American Blues to the European continent. In Sept 2003 we decided to record one of these performances and hand picked some of the best of the swedish blues musicians.Eric Hanssen from Erics Blues Band played lead guitar along with most of the members of Brian Kramers Couch Lizards.Brian is an excellent acoustic slide player, producer, singer, song writer, spiritual advisor, and most of all, good friend.Iron Hand MIke Haglund played truly inspired upright piano and his solo on Ray Charles "I Believe To My Soul"is both beautiful and haunting as Ray died the next year. The recording thus becomes an accidental tribute.Speaking of tributes,in Sept. 2004 I fulfilled a life long dream and recorded a tribute record to Mike Bloomfield. This record features some of Mikes friends and fellow musicians from his early eighties bands along with some of the cream of Stockholms blues scene. That record should be out in a few months.Look for it on CD baby.I played some of the most inspired harmonica of my career on this record and I felt Paul Butterfields spirit enter me on this night.Check out the solo on Boogie For James Cotton,my tribute to the chicago blues master,or the heartfelt rendition of Louis Jordans little known masterpiece,Slow Down. If you enjoy this record half as much as I did recording it its all worthwhile
