Album Notes

When many think of Portland, Oregon they don't think of music. But since the release of Gospel artist Speedygunz and his first solo release "Krucial Testimony, Portland now has a reason to be recognized for its musical talents. Unlike any gospel music many have ever heard before, Speedy has a tight style of beats, a smooth flow, and a powerful message about Christ. Being that he's a gospel rapper/writer/producer, putting together the project consisted of... mainly his self.
His solo 16 track album talks about his struggles to become a Christian and the things he faces trying to maintain his relationship with Christ. His lead single "Who's That" focuses on how some people folks see him and how they often get the wrong idea about him because of his attire and approach toward spreading the gospel. "Cry No Mo" focuses on speedy before Christ. How he was tired of living in sin and all the drama that came along with it. By receiving Christ, he no longer had to cry or hurt as he did when he lived in sin. Lastly, on "My Momma" he took time to show his appreciation to his single parent mother, and to all others in her situation. He also expressed his feelings to the father he never knew and challenged all men to step up and take care of there responsibilities.
Speedy just recently got off tour in the south promoting his project. Stopping in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Alabama, he has spread his name throughout the south as well as the west. Being that he's from the west, California, Oregon, and Washington already know about him. As far as radio goes, his in all those states including Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington D.C., Connecticut and Georgia. God is truly blessing this young man and his ministry.
Aside from his project, he has also produced/written/and performed 7 songs on "Standouts compilation" and will be rapping and writing on many up and coming projects as well as producing other projects until the release of his Sophomore album "Victorious" due out in January 2006.
