Jimmy Spencer is truly a balladeer extraordinaire and “WARM” certainly proves it. He caresses each song with a soft gentle warm style that sets the mood for a quiet romantic experience. The ballads tell of new love, old love and everything in between.

Spencer bares his heart and soul to tell a love story for his listeners. One I’m sure most will relate to. His smooth and sensually deep voice passionately proves he still has what it takes to set the mood and capture his audience.

Rejoice in the joy... feel the heartache... revel in each moment...feel WARM!

Yes, Jimmy Spencer is back...so sit back, relax, enjoy a glass of wine and take that trip to paradise!

Today the singer who reaches his audience through the warmth and love he feels for his songs and the people he sings to is rare indeed. JIMMY SPENCER is that kind of singer.

It's Jimmy's love of people that makes it possible for him to touch them as he does with his music. He cares about the people who listen to him sing. It shows in every song.

Tolucan Times...6/6/07...by Mary Mallory

With a rich baritone voice that's a cross between Nat King Cole and Barry White, Jimmy Spencer offers smooth, lush ballads and snazzy jazz in his concert promoting his new CD, "warm..." then...now...always. Singing both traditional, romantic standards as well as up-tempo, toe-tapping numbers, Spencer radiates a true love of performing before audiences.

He demonstrates a wide range of vocal talents including scat singing, crooning, and stylish, elegant phrasing. Spencer sensually caresses the notes like a gentle, romantic lover.

In particular, he offers delicate line readings to romantic tunes like "Blue Gardenia" and "Always," emphasizing the wistful, bittersweet nature of relationships and love.

He also brings a zesty nuance to the fun "All of Me," as well as a bouncy, snappy up-tempo to "Orange Colored Sky."

Pianist Karen Hernandez superby blends her understated yet emotional playing with Spencer's vocal stylings, offering strong support to his interpretations of the songs. Other performers also provide good back-up to the singer.

Spencer's warm, velvety voice successfully captures the emotional heart of the songs on his current CD as it evokes nostalgia for the days of the Rat Pack.

Jimmy Spencer performed at Barone's 13726 Oxnard St. in Valley Glen, On June 2, accompanied by Karen Hernandez for the release of his new CD "warm...".

Smoky, smooth, full bodied...not a wine, but Jimmy Spencer's WARM
author: Donna Anderson
Listening to Jimmy Spncer's WARM can be paired with your favorite wine, preferably a husky, full bodied Cabernet. His voice is distinctive but reminescent of Nat King Cole, Brook Benton, with a little Billy Ekstein. See what you think. Turn the lights down, daydream, and listen. Also very good with dinner guests as background music. Perfect for sharing with somebody special.
