We are blessed by the various forms of Gospel music that lift our spirits and encourage our souls. However, there are many church choirs that may not have the needed instrumentation, musicians, and caliber of singers needed, to perform many of the songs that we love to listen to. The inspiration behind Spirit of Praise is to provide songs that the church can sing. The songs can be sung by adult choirs, youth choirs, in unison, two or three part harmony, with just piano or organ.

Spirit of Praise: Songs for the Church to Sing, Volume 1, was a live recording. The recording took place at St. Paul CME Church in Savannah, GA, and was recorded by the Television/Radio Ministry team of St. Paul CME Church. The Spirit of Praise Chorale consists of members who represent the various choirs of St. Paul CME Church. We are very grateful for the commitment and the dedication that the choir members display Sunday after Sunday, but especially for the additional time spent in rehearsals as we worked to carry out this vision. The choirs are as follows: The Cathedral Choir, Youth and Young Adult Choir, HRD Singers (Named after our pastor – Rev. Henry R. Delaney) Mighty Male Voices Choir, Communion Choir and the 3:00 Communion Choir. All soloists on the album are members of St. Paul CME Church.

Spirit of Praise is comprised of songs that God has given to Minister Robert Lewis in his dreams and visions. Not only do the songs provide inspiration, encouragement, and minister to him, it is his prayer that they will do the same for those who listen.
