the 90's. This includes the original 1969 "I Got A Line On
You" promo film, footage from the "SPIRIT OF '84" reunion,
much live footage, photos, and interviews. Also includes
the "Nature's Way" and "Hey Joe" promo videos from "LIVE
AT LA PALOMA", as well as a video for "California Blues"
shot on Randy California's back porch! Live footage from
Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Rockford, IL, and other

having just bought the video I found the dvd so now have both. Handy to have in event of catastrophic failure of either machine...as I wouldnt want to be deprived of what I think is the best visual recordings ever produced...and by the best group to grace the planet. Hav been a fan since '71 and have I hope virtually all the releases, approaching almost 50 cd's/lps...still live for the chance to pick up the odd bootleg every now and then. RC lives on.

Finally-Spirit Video

It's great to finally see footage of this most under-rated of groups. I've been listening for thirty years and finally seeing footage was overwhelming. I wish that there was a complete concert from the original band on film. They were the equal (or better) of the Dead, The Doors, The Airplane and many other visually documented bands. This video makes me desire all the film that should have been of this great band. Put me on the list for a DVD upgrade when it happens!

SPIRIT VIDEO VOL 2
author: Sherri de Gaia
I am a very delighted woman to have this priceless treasure in my possession. Heartfelt thanks to all the people who compiled it, released it, and made it available to me. I bought the first LP when it came out, fell in love, and it was a true abiding love... I have never understood why Spirit weren't as appreciated and exalted in the Bright Halls of Legend, as The Dead, Love, the Airplane etc. were. So extremely strange. I was lucky enough to meet Randy on several occasions thru the years, and he was as beautiful, shiny, gentle, compassionate and aware as you would hope for. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all members of Sprit for all the love, all the joy and hope their music gave to so many people for so long (and still does). I miss Randy, and my heart goes out to his son, Quinn, as do my highest, brightest blessings. Light and love to all you Earthlings from Sherri and her cat kin, in Scotland. Blessed Be.
