SPiT LiKE THiS are well on their way to becoming the new Cramps!

Featuring 21 tracks and lasting 77 minutes, SCARY TALES: The Collection is the ultimate in sleaze rock. The CD pretty much consists of everything that this excellent band has recorded so far with previous Ep's and also has some brand new tracks on there for your audio pleasure. SPiT LiKE THiS aren't afraid to tell it how it is and pull no punches with this trashy and sleazy classic of an album. The album simply oozes sex and sleaze. This is ultimate glam and sleaze rock and it's very, very best. On this evidence, SLT are well on their way to becoming the new Cramps.

A unique sleaze-shock rock sales pitch which has attracted armies of fans
author: Bubblegum Slut
Since 2001 SPiT LiKE THiS have been giving the world a lesson in doing it your own way. An entrepreneurial streak selling panties (pre-worn) and filthy T-Shirts (washed, actually), a unique sleaze-shock rock sales pitch which has attracted armies of teen fans (or SLuTz) and attention grabbing antics ranging from playing with blow-up dolls and fake blood onstage to offering a funeral service for ailing celebrities have seen one of Britain's hardest working acts gets from early demos to this first full length release.
Rather than being a debut album proper, "Scary Tales" collects together those demos (remastered and with added bonus material) and tells the story so far with a view to funding the first album proper. Over it's whopping 21 tracks "Scary Tales" takes you on a journey from still-finding-their-feet early recordings as a duo, to the thrashy, screamy, altogether more rock "Not Dead Yet" (from "Anarchy For Two") and glam rocker "Obscene (But Not Heard)" which intriduced the full band line-up. From there we come right up to date and to the "Sleaze Sells...But Who's Buying?" EP which spawned live favourites such as the Rocky Horror-esque "Trick Or Mistreat" and "Dragged Kicking and Screaming".
So, go on, pick up a copy so we can all get an earful of what they're capable of in a big budget studio!

ACCEPT NO SUBSTiTUTE
author: alcohayley
This foursome of depraved yet gifted debauchees has done it again. There should be some kind of safety warning on this CD. It’s insane. This very plastic disc tells the epic tale of how these individuals united to become the monster known as SPiT LiKE THiS - from selling used underwear to perverts in exchange for much-needed cash, to rocking out on stage surrounded by a sea of loyal and insatiably sluty fans. 'Scary Tales: The Collection' is in no way the product of kissing corporate feet but of years of poverty, aggravation, passion, turmoil, hard work and undeniable ambition.
The first few tracks act as a sturdy foundation whereupon this unique cocktail of glam, punk and metal is shaken. The ever reckless “Asshole” simply stamps it’s feet, sets the record straight and gives the listener a subtle inkling to what lies ahead in the next 72 minutes of the album. “Hooked On You” carries a hypnotic riff symbolising a spectrum of addictions that are, in the last half of the song, confronted by a frenzy of potentially rational values. OK, so it’s debatable!
A rebellious response to anything that gets in the way of SLT’s desires to do as they please is one way of describing “Not Dead Yet”. A dangerous snarl and lots of lovely distortion makes one pray that they shall never encounter this track in a dark alley. A violent wakeup call to those who conform through both choice and, to put it bluntly, stupidity; a sharp slap with a wet fish to the majority who weren’t blessed with a mind of their own is immortalised in the track “(I Feel So) Vindicated”.
Track 15 drags you kicking and screaming to a sacred place of bad behaviour and headbanging, complemented by a steady flow of alcohol, more commonly known as a SLT gig. It’s infectious melody arouses the urge to get off one’s arse and shake it. A quite literal “F**k You” to the kinds of people who’s interference, in a sense, has actually helped make this release possible is found in the latter half of the CD. Just when you thought it was over, the live bonus tracks add to the electrifying impression made by the previous numbers.
If you’re already familiar with the material, do you remember the first time you heard SLT? Well, with all this fancy re-mastering malarkey, it’s that infinite orgasm of the ears all over again. This flawless jigsaw of awesome anthems couldn’t sound any clearer, punchy-er, bolder or sexier.
So, you thought it was impossible for such a strong sound to be merged so perfectly with such a strong image? Wrong, because here it is - an unidentified wild animal has officially been captivated, bound and sealed in a classy yet sleazy exterior but is bursting to get out.
If disgustingly good sex, chav hunting and shock ‘n’ roll are your thing – or simply if you claim to have impeccable music taste – this CD is undoubtedly for you. But, be warned not to show it to your grandparents - it’s so damn good they’ll steal it from you. Tell them to piss off and buy their own copy!
For fans of Motley Crue, Adam Ant, Metallica and Rocky Horror!
