Album Notes

In this soundscape, the feelings of a Japanese love story are turned from love to longing, dreaming to unending memory. As the songs echo goes through the stars and back to the waterfall of silence in the distance, the piano comes in as an old friend that tries to lift you up from despair. Bringing in the beauty of the long forgotten dream only leaves you with the voice of the Erhu telling of a feeling that the dream was once yours, but only can be again through its lost memory. Before the ending, knowing nothing else can be, but the truth, that being human is in itself, imperfect, the human condition is realized. The vocals move, dance, slice and pierce as if samurai in agony, within a love one must keep secret, and the long journey one must travel in order to also keep ones sanity. Mesmerizing and fluid as if whispers of falling cherry blossoms in jagged time lapse freeze frame. When you think it's all over, the butterflies float in to land upon your hands and kiss the scar that time has not healed, but has not forgotten.
