Album Notes

Veteran San Francisco musicians Matt, Pat and Joe Splatt create this quirky sculpting of pop and rock that brings a taste of Local San Francisco to you. Happy Hour was recorded in both analog, and digital to combine a nostalgic yet modern sound to the original songs.

Happy Hour combines soaring vocals, profound lyrics, amazing guitar work, and tasteful texturing that combine in a modern, classic sound. The eclectic song writing of all three members of SPLATT create a mix from upbeat rock (Track 1: Ghost Inside the Mole Hole) to eerie mystery (Track 5: Something) to just plain fun (Track 7: Tracy), “Happy Hour delivers the sound and feel of San Francisco’s music seen and is an important album to have” says Steve Jacobson of Portland Oregon.

Tracy (track #7), the surprise runaway hit, has been downloaded in more then 12 countries and has been featured on iTunes Music Store’s staff favorite pick. “Every Tracy in the WORLD should have this song.” Says Tracy Spindler of New York City, New York. “It’s cheerful and really fun.” Proclaims Tracy Engler of San Diego. “I LOVE THIS SONG” Tracy Lingass in London reiterates.

All three members of SPLATT have other projects they are involved in. Matt Langlois fronts Welcome Matt of San Francisco. Welcome Matt recently enjoyed a radio hit “Take Me Back to San Francisco” which received airtime on KFOG San Francisco and was also featured in Major League Baseballs 2007 World Series. Visit Welcome Matt at CD Baby and iTunes Music Store.

Pat Kelly and Joe Heavey have once again collaborated to bring you their latest endeavor: PowderWheel. They acquired the services of veteran musician RJ Harrison to create a truly amazing record. Look for PowderWheel on iTunes Music Store. Remember to keep PowderWheel as one word when you search. If not, you’ll find an early demo of the record with only four uncompleted demo songs.

Bert Benson completes the package with his original artwork and expert graphic design. Hi Bert! You can see what Bert is up to at:
