Album Notes

The Spoils are an intrepid, modern, soulful rock combo from Seattle. As spectrum spanning as it is precise, "Black Apple" offers us out first go around with them, and an excellent debut it is. With guest appearances by local players Wayne Horiwitz, Evynd Kang, Skerik John Schuller, Ham N' Cheese, Paul "Song of Songs" Moore and Maxwell Buckminster Burgess, the trio is expanded on most tracks. Perfectly crafted and honed over years of live performance, the songs recorded on "Black Apple" have been a long time coming and well worth the wait. But enough effusion, simply listen for yourself. The record was beautifully produced by Randle Dunn of Aleph.
