Album Notes

SPOUSE is a band whose music is perhaps best described as "schizophrenic pop". The group has undergone countless changes due mostly in part to the transient quality of its numerous members, present and past. SPOUSE performs in various incarnations, from solo to septet, though the unifying element is frontman José Ayerve.

Loosely based in Northampton, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine music scenes, the band often garners comparisons to the Replacements and Pixies. They've been around since 1995, and have released three full-length albums on CD. They also have two vinyl 7" singles, and one maxi-ep.

Absolutely amazing. Spouse has such a unique and fabulous sound...seriously, this is the BEST cd I've purchased in a long time...the vocals are hypnotic and intense, as is the style. I HIGHLY suggest buying this cd and spreading the word that is Spouse...you won't regret it.
