Album Notes

Spouse is an ever-revolving cast of ‘indie’-rockers led by producer/songwriter José Ayerve; known for its distinct experimental quality and high-energy performances. Ayerve’s ‘feather smooth/sandpaper rough’ vocals light-up against an infectious blend of guitars, bass, drums, and synthesizers. The group originated in 1995, at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME. Spouse has since migrated to Northampton, MA, though members are scattered throughout the US. They frequently tour throughout the east coast and midwest, and they release albums on their own collective ‘label’, Pigeon Records.
