Album Notes

Spout: v. Intr. "To express one's opinions in a loud, indiscreet manner." That's exactly what you'll get from the hard-hitting rock foursome from Nashville, TN. Their unique sound combines nu-metal & alternative riffs with modern rock hooks & melodies. The result: songs fused with driving guitars & catchy, thematic lyrics.

Spout are renowned by fans and critics for their intense live performances where the audiences are known to scream the words just as loud as the P.A. Most recently, distribution and publishing interest from Tinderbox Music/No Alternative Records (Soul Asylum) prompted the group to independently release their first full-length album on 9/05/03, which is produced by Stay-C Hogan and co-produced by chart-topping songwriter /producer Jim Allison of Aria Records/Allisongs Inc. (Billy Ray Cyrus, Reba, LeAnn Rimes). The group has also obtained representation with entertainment attorney Jeff Biederman, Esq. (Collective Soul, Edwin McCain, Angie Aparo), in order to put their music in front of the music industry decision-makers.

¨ Performed with Nickelback, Filter, Default, Stroke 9, Sr-71, Everclear. Mudvayne and more.

Press

"This self-titled debut album has 14 well-produced modern rock tracks which speak of true stories of loss, love, a family's lifetime of dealings with abuse and clinical depression, hypocrisy, courtship, sex, and loneliness that are just as real as the passion in which Spout plays them. Outstanding songs and sound."- seagoddessentertainment.com

"...they're covering a lot of ground fast.
- Jim Ridley, Nashville Scene, Nashville, TN

"A sound so powerful that their live shows are definitely not easy to forget."
- JonJon, Nashville Panorama Magazine

"Spout is not just powerful, but they're hooky as hell, both with their riffs and their melodic/lyrical sense...catch Spout while the ticket price is still low."
- Don Thomason, Amplifier Magazine (KY)

The idea of Spout began when lead singer/songwriter Stay-C Hogan was winning piano competitions at age 6 and opening shows for Emmy Lou Harris on national television shows by age 11. By age 16, with many high profile performances under his belt, Stay-C began seeking his own self-expression through music in a louder, more boisterous manner. A year after his move to Nashville in 1999, the rock group lineup now known as Spout was formed.

Move over Nickelback!
author: Wade Bradford
Spout really knows how to lay down the tunes! They have a gift that is rarely seen in today's musicians. Fresh, yet brash; I highly recomend this group for anyone that loves a true rockin' sound! Look out Nickeback and Hinder, there's a new group on the block...

Love to see these guys live!
author: Jared Werni
This band sounds like a great band. I've never seen this band live but i'm sure it's a great show! The riffs we're definitly the first thing that caught my ears. Second the vocals. The singer has a great modern rock voice!! Now on to the negatives.(sorry guys). There really were no hooks in the vocals, the verses we're great! but the chorus' a bit weak. I couldn't really tell when i was listening to the chorus or the pre or verse! all in all i'd buy this cd in a heart beat if my wife didn't just take my credit card away! Keep on rockin' and good luck to this band! Please don't be offended by this i'm just a regular guy! Good luck!

I had got the 2nd CD before this one and had high expectations. I was hesitant about buying this one but I'm glad I did. I *love* Adrenaline and I absolutely love the piano there.
