Album Notes

Just a year after the release of “Fantastic,” Spring Clock Wonder (SCW) returns with its fourth studio album “Magnetar.”

“Magnetar” continues the SCW tradition of rainy guitars poured over earth-laden drums and locked bass lines while it steps even further into the beyond and breaks deeper into the musical psyche of multi-instrumentalist & vocalist Ian Baird.

This latest effort connects on more of a human level than prior SCW albums as it travels and shifts with a strong and imaginative focus through a myriad of styles and gears from start to finish. “Magnetar” is a record that digs its claws through the dirt of life amidst a world built in sonic rock-and-roll bliss.

Produced, Performed and Mixed by Ian Baird
Mastered by Paul Klimson for Theory One Productions (Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, John Legend, The Roots, Ministry)

( Ricardo Malti 2009 - location unknown )
