Album Notes

Singer/songwriter Spring has enjoyed writing, recording and sharing the stage with a diverse mix of musicians including; legendary Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, Louden Wainright III, Dave Sharp (the Alarm) and Jeffrey Gaines.

Spring lives in the NYC area where she has produced her CDs. She plays guitar and piano, has garnered radio airplay, national press, toured the country and sold thousands of CDs as an indie artist. She makes regular trips to Nashville for performing, co-writing and songwriting workshops.

Transforming has a pop/rock feel - more punchy than the Spring Thing with full band production. Spring's vocals are more mature on this sophomore effort. Song topics range from life purpose to world issues with a subtle inspirational, spiritual quality.

In the post "9-11" penned, "Miracle" Spring sings "let me see with my heart, show me how to listen from my soul, make me someone who matters to this world, someone who brings hope." This album clearly shows a woman who is striving to make a positive difference in the world with all it's unknowns of the future. "Josephine" is a touching song about the story of a girl getting her first piano, "Thank-You" is a very boppy gratitude song that playfully lists all the things you can feel grateful for even when you are NOT feeling grateful.
Spring also ventures out of the original music box, with versions of standard classics such as: "Over The Rainbow" and "Amazing Grace."

Spring's voice has been compared to some of her influences; Sarah McLachlan, Olivia Newton-John and Karen Carpenter but to truly appreciate her, you have to see her perform live.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:

"With an engaging stage presence and voice that grabs you and refuses to let go, Spring writes about life's ups and downs with integrity and courage...a definite breath of fresh air."- Uncle Mike, Music Writer, Two River Times, Red Bank, NJ

"Her talent is in the ability to pair her angelic, otherworldly voice with music that will find you dancing around your living room...Do yourself the favor of ordering this CD. Every song on it is absolutely FANTASTIC. It hasn't left the CD player since it came into the house." -Gina Grega, Editor-In Your Face Magazine, CA

"...What is most amazing and breathtaking is her voice. It is one of the most expressive, passionate and beautiful instruments I have ever heard."
