Album Notes

Have you tried Jonathan's first heroes CD -- American Heroes? Are you craving the next installment? Here it is -- another fun, flawlessly produced, historically accurate collection of, you guessed it, MORE American Heroes!

The style is upbeat rock/folk/pop -- lots of guitars, keyboards, drums and vocals. (Sound alike examples: Jackson Browne, Kenny Loggins with a splash of Jethro Tull and The Who.)

Not Your Typical Sing Songy Kids Music!

Again, Jonathan co-wrote with the best of writers -- Dave Kinnoin (Disney, Henson, Sesame Workshop) and Peter Bliss (NSync, Barbara Streisand, J. Geils, Heart).

Who are the heroes on this CD? The Wright Brothers, Sojourner Truth, Neil Armstrong, Susan B. Anthony, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jackie Robinson, Frederick Douglass, Johnny Appleseed, Tecumseh and Helen Keller.

Not enough can be said about Jonathan's own contribution to education and learning. With this CD he presents American history and its heroes in a new and intriguing light and debunks the myth that one is too old or too young to learn about this great country and the colorful heroes that made it so."

Finally! Great music BOTH my son and I love....
author: Donna Regan
I first heard about Jonathan Sprout from my first grader who came home from school one day BEGGING me to get his CD. Jonathan had performed in my son's school that day. After a few weeks of relentless pestering for the CD, I ordered this one and another one from CD Baby. We BOTH love his music. It is uplifting, fun and inspirational. The CDs are in my car where we get the most opportunity to listen to them. We gave 4 more away as birthday gifts. The kids in all grades at school love Jonathan!!!

My 4th graders love your music.
author: P Brown
My 4th graders were introduced to the Heroes music after I attended a Core Knowledge Conference In Washington, DC where Mr. Sprout performed some of his songs. We immediately began learning the songs in class and teaching them to our classroom puppets who think the music is out of this world and breaks down all barriers. We have already received two different orders of music that the kids take home and play until their siblings beg them to stop. Not only do we like the music, but we are learning more and sharing more about our American history.

Super Songs - Rock On............
author: Lynn Franke
I purchased Jonathan Sprout: American Heroes CD several years ago when he performed at my elementary school. I have been teaching many of my history lessons using his songs. They are upbeat and educational and my second grade students love them. They have been begging me to look online to see if Jonathan Sprout had "More!" Well, I just ordered Jonathan Sprout: More American Heroes and we're ready to move on to learning about - well "More American Heroes." I highly recommend these CD's to any educator. Believe me, not only are the kids really into History but their parents are very impressed by all the information that these kids are learning. Many parents have mentioned that they are also learning History from these songs. Thanks Jonathan.
