Album Notes

Remember rock and roll? Upbeat tempos and bluesy guitars, steady bass lines that involuntarily compel your body to dance, (even if you don’t know how) sarcastic vocals with quick phrasing and words that connect with your soul? That is the word. Soul is something that you can’t visibly see, but you felt it the 1st time you ever heard Led Zepplin, The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band, and Aerosmith. You felt it when you were left far behind by someone that you love. Rising up from a “new” generation of rock music, Squarewheel, originally formed in Dallas, TX in December of 2004, has taken the DFW rock scene by storm. Having been described as “Candlebox going to war with The Crowes in Vietnam, in a happy sense,” Squarewheel has shared the stage with national acts such as Sponge an Pushmonkey, and have packed metroplex venues and clubs, to do what they do best, bleed out their hearts for rock and roll.

Other than being a little on the short side with only five tracks, this cd is very well done. It is not often that I come across an artist that produces an album where all of the tracks are great. Rythm. lead, soul stirring guitar...its got it all.
